How to add the translation of the theme to another language for WordPress 4.0 and above

In WP Estate - FAQ, WP Estate Help, WP Residence FAQ, WP Residence Help

In summary for wordpress 4.0 and above the steps are

a. First you need to install WordPress in your language – http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language

b. Translate the wpresidence.po to any language you wish to POEDIT .

c. Upload language via FTP in wpresidence/languages folder.

You should have now wpresidence.po, wpresidence.mo + your new language po and mo

NOTE: On some servers, step b and c can be replaced by Codestyle Localization Plugin.

b. Also you need to check if the language file has the correct name – help here: http://wpcentral.io/internationalization/

c. After all those steps go in Admin – General Settings and you should see a dropdown with Languages. This is where you will find the languages available based on what you did on step 1. Select your language and that should be all.
