    1. How can I change the default Google map view to be satellite instead of regular map view?

    Go to js/google_js folder. Inside there are 4 files that start with google map code. Edit each of them and search for this code:

    mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP
    var mapOptions

    Replace ROADMAP with the option you’re interested in (SATELLITE, HYBRID, TERRAIN). Here are the Google Maps options description from their website:

    ROADMAP displays the normal, default 2D tiles of Google Maps.
    SATELLITE displays photographic tiles.
    HYBRID displays a mix of photographic tiles and a tile layer for prominent features (roads, city names).
    TERRAIN displays physical relief tiles for displaying elevation and water features (mountains, rivers, etc.).
