    This situation is because of the original images uploaded and the resize rules set for those images in general-settings:

    Our slider has these dimensions set in general-settings.php

    add_image_size(‘listing_full_slider’ , 835, 467, true); –> image in property slider – with sidebar

    add_image_size(‘listing_full_slider_1?, 1110, 623, true); –>image in property page slider – no sidebar

    We already have set the option to crop image, but wordpress doesn’t crop images unless you have images with height or width smaller than resize rules height and width.

    Add an image with 380 x 570 format
    Resize rule is
    add_image_size(‘listing_full_slider’ , 835, 467, true);

    The existing resize rule will crop image to fit slider based on 835*467 proportions and image will be cropped like this

    Original image looks like this:

    Existing rules are set to match slider width/height dimensions.

    This is a post that explains how to work with this function in wordpress. http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-additional-image-sizes-in-wordpress/
