    Hi Guys
    1st, your theme is great! I changes it from property to a restaurant review site!

    is it possible to generate a URL for a advance search?

    normal link to filter the category (sea-food) is:
    http://dinnerclub.co.za/property_category/sea-food/
    like
    http://dinnerclub.co.za/property_category/sea-food?city=CT
    (would show all sea food restaurants in cape town)
    http://dinnerclub.co.za/property_category/sea-food?city=JHB
    (would show all sea food restaurants in Johannesburg)
    ???
    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

    This is a complex change. I have asked one of my colleagues to help, if possible, with some directions. Will post here in the next couple of days.

    Thank you
    Anna

    Hello,
    Yes it possible what you want but the changes are not simple

    in a few words this is what you need to do

    – make a clone of the advanced search results page – rename the template in the page header
    – make sure that the city variable is not read from $_POST variables but from $_Get variables

    – also i assume you want to send users to this new page – when you create the link use the add_query_arg in order to attach the Get variables corectly

    good luck

    Thanks, Crerem
    I will give it a shot!
    Maybe another idea, is it possible to position the google map incl zoom level?

    http://dinnerclub.co.za/property_category/sea-food?Latitude=-33.93414583696423&Longitude=18.417533040046692&zoom=12

    would be not as flexible, but for my thing it would help!

    The problem is, that if someone is looking in Johannesburg for a steak restaurant, he starts of with the map of cape town (1200km distance) and has to move the map every time back!
    They must have good steaks to drive that far! :->

    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

    My partner will follow up on your question in the next couple of days. Meanwhile, I wanted to recommend you some small tweaks as well

    Your property unit has more details, so you need to increase the height of the unit. Just copy/paste this CSS

    @media (min-width: 960px){
    .property_listing {
    min-height: 405px;
    }
    }

    Next – I noticed you chose white for your border colors. The border colors are connected to other elements (such as link hover and link colors). You may notice some details are white on your page. My recommendation is to choose a color for the borders (something else but white). Then I will give you the CSS to make just the borders white.

    Let me know what you think.

    Thank you
    Anna

    Hello
    To change the link in this format
    http://dinnerclub.co.za/property_category/sea-food?Latitude=-33.93414583696423&Longitude=18.417533040046692&zoom=12

    you need to do almoust the same things as i told you above + modification of google map code (to js files in js/google_code_js)
