Here’s how to create a basis for batch or multiple property listings with WPresidence. The procedure is based on converting existings posts or products into WPresidence Property Posts. In the example below I create Woocommerce products first and convert those to to Wpresidence Estate Property posts.
Step 1. Get a picture photo of the property and rename it to the name of that property. Probably you have to import pictures into your PC first and use a photo editing program to do so.
Step 2. Install the Woocommerce plugin (free)
Step 3. Create a Woocommerce product categorie, e.g. Villas NY
Step 4. Install Lunar Photo plugin (free)
Step 5. Create a new Lunar photo album, in the process Lunar will ask you to assign a product category, choose Villas NY. You have now created Villa NY products with product titles similar to the name of the photo.
Step 6. Install Convert Post Types plugin (free)
Step 7. Go to Tools, Convert Post types and convert from products to posts. In the process you can choose to convert to what WPresidence categories, actions, cities and neighborhoods!
Step 8. Finalize each product listing through the ‘Your Properties Front-end submission’ (as advised by the WPresidence developers).
Some related stuff, ideas:
a. use data, time and place when you take the picture, e.g. when visiting customer. Because Lunar automatically uses the EXIF data of the picture.
b. Use the photo size settings in Woocommerce to get the right size for the final property post. This picture will be visible in the carousel. 810px × 453px works well.
b. WPresidence 1.10 uses Tabs / Accordion. The first one is a editable textfield that can be used to display a woocommerce product-listing-shortcode. The result is an integrated Woocommerce product listing below the main picture on the Single Property Page.
c. Maybe the WPresidence developers can use this to decide to integrate Woocommerce now incuding theme support, so we can also start upselling stuff 🙂
