I have two questions:
– How can I set the default order in random order?
I found several solutions here on the forum but do not work …
how can I fix it?
– In demo I saw in the search “price range” animated, how can I add it?
thanks and good day

Thank you for your message.
1.For the moment we are not sure that you can do this. There is a forum with some suggestion, but did not worked for every one. We will try to add this in version 1.07 .http://wpestate.org/forums/topic/random-featured-venues/
2.Please see this video tutorial: http://wpestate.org/wp-residence-set-price-slider/

thanks for the reply.
1- meantime I solved for the listing random, I’ve changed the theme.
2- I watched the video, but in my backend do not have the field “show sliders for price” why?

The price slider was added in version 1.06 – http://wpestate.org/wp-residence-set-price-slider/
Perhaps you have an older version? if that is the case, you must upgrade. We’re now at v 1.07

mmm… here’s the problem I’m working on version 1.05 🙁
I have massively changed the theme in different parts… now I can easily change it to a child theme and make a claim of the upgrade of the theme without losing my edits?

Working in child theme is ok, as long as you know how to manage child theme. A child theme does not guarantee the original theme updates will work always with your changes, but at least you have them in one place, separate from the code.
I can guide you do css changes in child theme, but more complex changes require you study wordpress codex and know how to manage the code. Or you would have to update and add the changes back.
I am sure neither options sound great, but unfortunately these are the only possibilities.

How did you solve for random order?
December 9, 2014 at 1:36 pm #101087
yes, I solved it, as you can see here: http://www.milanomarittima.it/ricerca-hotel/4-stelle/
at each refresh of the page order is random!
the main change is in the file libs/help_functions.php line 44
$ orderby = $ table_prefix.’postmeta.meta_value DESC, ‘. $ table_prefix.’posts.ID DESC’;
$ orderby = ‘rand ()’;
but I’m honest, I do not remember if I made other modifications in other files…
I had to speed up the project and I have not updated “my diary”

riga 166 ‘orderby’ => ‘meta_value’, cambia in ‘orderby’ => ‘rand ‘,
riga 211 add_filter( ‘posts_orderby’, ‘wpestate_my_order’ ); cambia in add_filter( ‘posts_orderby’ );
riga 214 add_filter( ‘posts_orderby’, ‘wpestate_my_order’ ); cambia in add_filter( ‘posts_orderby’ );
Adesso inserisco anche in inglese.
